Yes. It is important to allow at least 4 weeks between lip injections and permanent makeup due to the healing process. If there is any migration of the filler, we recommend dissolving it before proceeding with permanent makeup.

While permanent makeup can slightly enhance the borders of your lips for better symmetry, we avoid working directly over the vermillion border or surrounding skin to prevent issues during during the fading process. This ensures a more natural and lasting result.

A topical numbing cream is applied to your lips prior to the procedure to ensure comfort. While the process is generally mild, some sensation is to be expected.

Immediately after the procedure, your lips will likely appear as if lipstick has been applied. The intensity is depending on the chosen colour. Some slight swelling may occur due to the abrasion of the skin, but this will subside over the following days.

Yes. If you have a favourite lipstick you wear everyday, bring it to your appointment with you! Its great to see a visual of the colour you wear daily. This can be closely colour matched however we cannot guarantee 100% match.

The results of lip blush can be noticed almost instantly. The first few days after procedure, colour will be intense and not a true representation of the long term colour.

After this, it will take around 4 weeks to be able to see the full results of treatment.

Lip Blush Pre-Care

Preparing properly before your appointment will help your lips heal well and ensure the best results. Please follow these guidelines:

1. Keep Lips Hydrated

• Drink plenty of water in the days before your treatment.

• Gently exfoliate and apply a hydrating balm daily.

• If your lips are cracked, sore, or very dry, please reschedule as this will affect healing.

2. Avoid Certain Skincare

• Stop using Vitamin C, retinol, glycolic acid, or strong exfoliants at least 2 weeks before and after your appointment.

• These can interfere with pigment retention.

3. No Caffeine, Alcohol, or Blood Thinners

• Avoid caffeine, alcohol, ibuprofen, and aspirin for 24 hours beforehand.

• These can increase sensitivity, bleeding, and bruising.

4. Cold Sores

• If you are prone to cold sores, take an antiviral (e.g. Valtrex) 2–3 days before and for 3–5 days after your treatment.

• Lip blush doesn’t cause cold sores, but the procedure may trigger an outbreak.

5. Lip Fillers

• Wait at least 4 weeks between filler and lip blush (before or after).

• Many clients find lip blush alone gives a fuller, more defined look.

6. Accutane / Roaccutane

• You must wait 12 months after finishing Accutane before having lip blush.

7. Botox & Laser

• Botox: book 2 weeks before or after your appointment.

• Laser/peels: allow 2 weeks either side of your lip blush treatment.

• Severely chapped or infected lips

• Caffeine, alcohol, or blood thinners 24 hours before

• Active cold sores

• Retinol, Vitamin C, glycolic or exfoliating serums (within 2 weeks)

• Lip filler (within 4 weeks)
